The Public Infrastructure Security Cyber Education System (PISCES)

Learn about this new program this Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from noon to 1 pm.

No-Cost Cyber Monitoring! Stay on the forefront of cybersecurity. Learn what's on the horizon for local governments, public utilities and rural healthcare providers. PISCES is a 501c(3) non-profit that performs no-cost cyber monitoring. PISCES is active in four states and is expanding into Hawaii for infrastructure protection, workforce development, and research opportunities. Metadata (no content) is collected from these networks and moved to a monitoring stack. College and university students perform cyber analyst work and help these organizations to avoid records disclosure, theft, extortion, and disruption of critical services.

Presenter

Mike Hamilton is co-founder and chair for the PISCES project. He has served as Managing Consultant for VeriSign Global Security, CISO for the City of Seattle, Policy Adviser for Washington State, and Vice-Chair of a DHS government coordinating council for critical infrastructure protection.  PISCES will also be participating in CyberHawaii's 3rd annual Cybersecurity Conference from June 24 and 25, 2025.
